Archer shoots arrows, warrior throws axes, valkarye (think Xena) throws swords, and Wizard shoots Magic. It was a Top Down Dungeon crawler.
Your Health Would Constantly Drain from exerting energy from running around in a dungeon, so you were ALWAYS on the hunt for food.
Since i imagine the
DS memory can outdo The old Arcade, I would imagine alot of enemies.
Now I don't mean Fight a few monsters, move forward, fight more...i mean I remember on the arcade being surrounded by about 100 ghosts, and you just stand there shooting everything, hoping you didn't have to use another quarter just yet.
oh yeah there were magic potions too, you could pick them up and save them for later, or shoot them to make them explode and damage enemies.
and Don't forget death...that guy was awful
when you see a guy in all black, RUNN!!!
he will cling to you and your energy will drain about 50HP/sec, the only real way to get rid of him is to use Said magic potions.
on top of all this, The original Gauntlet didnt end....well It probably did Somewhere, Just like pac-Man though.
theres a quick and dirty review of Gauntlet. In the end Its a great game, thus why its still spinning off good games to this day. (seven Sorrows Excluded)
