The Nintendo Channel and WiiWare heading to North America next month

The Everybody’s Nintendo Channel was released roughly three months ago in Japan, and after that release, it's been really popular. For many of you who don't know what this channel is for, "The Nintendo Channel", as called in North America, is a simple channel that Nintendo 'advertises' upcoming DS and Wii software and allows you to demo Nintendo DS games for free.

Along with the Nintendo Channel, WiiWare will also be available days after the release of the Nintendo Channel.

WiiWare is basically Nintendo's own Xbox Live Arcade system. You download games using Wii Points. Just like Virtual Console games. The WiiWare titles range up to 500 Wii points ($5.00) to 1000 Wii points ($10.00). For multiple titles, you will be able to download additional content. Already, My Life as a King, a WiiWare title, already uses this service.

For more value, you can review your own WiiWare games if you play it long enough. This review will go up on the Nintendo Channel for many people to view.

The Nintendo Channel and WiiWare service is due out for next month for the Nintendo Wii. If anything new pops up, I will let you know of it right away! I hope you guys are excited as I am for these services!

Cool Re: The Nintendo Channel and WiiWare heading to North America next month

It has been quite sometime since Nintendo has added a new channel. They definitely needed this one to boost their lagging sales and advertising sector, that has seen a huge pileup. Hopefully this channel will create interest in gamers, who own the Wii to buy the games that are of better quality, and developers follow. This channel will be popular when it comes out, hope they make it downloadable for free. Rockn.
