Just last week, I reported that developer High Voltage Software were developing a new game engine for the
Wii that they claim will paint a much prettier picture on
Wii games. The first game that is said to use this engine, known as The Conduit, is currently being developed. Since that news broke, it has now been reported that 10 studios have contacted High Voltage Software in regards to becoming the titles publisher, as it currently does not have one.
There is no doubt the new engine is thanks to this, but it seems that somewhere along the line, someone DID hear our plea for more hardcore games. Also for those who tuned into my last thread, High Voltage Software is the same company who is currently developing the WiiWare title,
Animales de la Muerte, the blood filled happy go lucky zoo adventure where you go around killing animal zombies and saving living ones.
No word on who the final developer will be, although it sure seems to be looking up. If other developers can follow High Voltage Software's footsteps, maybe we will see more exciting games this year than just
We Cheer.
