Guitar Hero World Tour detail explosion.

In a recent interview with IGN, Vicarious Visions CEO, Karthik Bala, confirmed a heathly amount of details regarding the new Guitar Hero World Tour. According to the interview, Guitar Hero World Tour will be pushing the Wii's boundaries in ways even Nintendo haven't done yet, including Downloadable Content. After skimming over the interview, here are the things that might interest you:

The game will feature songs such as Sublime's "Santeria, Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell," and the Foo Fighters' "Everlong", plus a huge assortment of others from rock megastars like Van Halen, The Eagles, and Linkin Park.

Players will be able to create their own songs and upload them to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for others to download.

Just like Guitar Hero III Wii, guitars and drums will be made completely wireless thanks to the Wii remote being inserted.

The microphone is wired and connects into the USB drive of the Wii. In addition, Vicarious Visions confirms that "any" USB microphone will work with this game.

The Rock Band drum set and guitars will NOT be compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour, due to the fact the Guitar Hero ones connect via a Wii remote.

Downloadable Content will be in the Wii version via a feature called the Music Store. When a song is downloaded, you can choose to save it to the Wii System Memory or an SD Card, which Vicarious Visions has called Rock Archive.

Online multiplayer will be similar to that of GH3, but with up to 8-players.

Guitar Hero World Tour is backwards compatible with the Guitar Hero III guitar controller.

Although nothing was confirmed, it was mentioned that "Wii exclusive features" are in the works.

The game ships with a drumset, guitar and microphone.

Downloadable Nintendo tracks are in the pipeline, but nothing is confirmed.

Wow, thats quite a list of interesting things. It's good this game is shaping up to be more than a straight PS2 port.

The gh3 backwards compatibility was the news i was hoping for.
Has there been like an unofficial songlist or anything of that nature leaked besides the songs announced?
