New Guitar Hero World Tour peripheral and in-game images.

New Guitar Hero World Tour peripheral and in-game images.

New images from the upcoming Guitar hero World Tour have been released today. Need I stress that the gameplay images are most likely NOT from the Wii version, but the peripheral are.

Judging by the images, it looks like Activision has taken a page from Rock Band's book and given you the option to physically create your own band members. The game is shaping up very well. For more details about this game, check out my fact sheet article here: Guitar Hero World Tour detail explosion.

Custom songs looking better. Last time I saw the song making interface, it was all grey and boring.

The eye makeup looks cool.

Wow, lots of improvements from the last Guitar Hero games.

I want to get this but is it really worth $189.99?

So you need a remote for the guitars, drums, and mic.? They should make it like Rock Band with the USB hub.

Nah, I think it's better with the Wiimote cause it's wireless.

Rock Band's guitar is wireless and wiimote-less I don't want to go buy another wiimote to have 4 people playing, And if it's USB i might be able to use my Rock Band drums because those drums look like utter ••••.

The drums are not USB, didn't you see the Wii Remote in the drums? And you'd only need 3 Wii Remotes for 4 People, because the mic is USB.

EDIT: And the Rock Band peripherals are not able to be used with Guitar Hero World Tour, which is why I'm not buying RB Wii and waiting for this instead.

Besides, this is basically RB for the 360 or PS3 for the Wii, so why buy the PS2 RB for the Wii? It makes no sense.
