I'd laugh if they did come out with it. I'd expect an MSRP of maybe $70-100, which is about twice the price of a regular DVD player of the same quality.

I don't think I want to buy a new Wii just for a DVD player. Not really ll that worth it. If I was able to trade in my old wii for this one, maybe I would consider it. But I really don't think its worth the time. Besides, I have 3 DVD players in my home. One in my living room, another in my dads room and my PS2 which is in my room. So yeah, don't really need a fourth one right now.

Hmm. So it is definitly a hard-ware related thing, the DVD player? Because I've wondered if they could just program it to read DVDs (and send out an update)..... LOL. Guess not! xP

It would be nice, for our house, anyways, for it to be a DVD player..... or when I go off to college in '09..and whatnot, too.. because we have our DVD player connected to our VCR, to we have to change the TV input, then turn on the VCR + DVD player, change the VCR input, and then use the DVD player. Not that its' hard.. but its a bit annoy sometimes..
The Wii is connected directly to our T.V.. so we could just pop in the disc there, click on the DVD channel, and viola!
And if I manage to have a TV in college... well.. yea.. games+ dvds all in one (like Playstation...)

Uh..that sucks. If I want to get this, I need to get a new Wii? Forget it. I'll just stick with my old one.
