In a recent Video Special, by Ken Lobb [creative director of Microsoft Game Studios], Ken Lobb talks about the highly anticipated game Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts for the Xbox 360. Surely we all think that this game will be all racing and none of classic platformer gameplay. That is sort of correct. 80% of the game involves vehicles, and the remaining 20% contains the classic platformer gameplay that we loved before. Anyways, we all know about these rumors about Microsoft making a motion sensitive controller for the Xbox 360. Well, in this recent video special, at the four minute mark, Ken Lobb states out something that would involve motion sensitivity. This would include the "Newton" (rumored as the name of this controller).
Ken Lobb says, in the video,
"the primary function that Kazooie has in the game is she carries this wrench and the wrench is used for many different things. One of the things that the wrench is used for is to turn these devices. So you basically grab with the wrench and then you twist the controller around and it'll move different things in the game."
Either this was a case of misinterpreted words, or he accidently gave out the fact that there is a motion sensitive controller in development for the Xbox 360.
UPDATE
Please note that Microsoft denied this by saying that it was a mistake, but it still doesn't give out the fact that Microsoft might be developing their own Wii remote. Also, of couse Microsoft is going to denie this. They want to leave everything quite and not gain public attention right now, if the motion sensitive Xbox 360 rumors are true. So this article is suitable for postage until we hear a confirmation about a new controller for the Xbox360 in development, or not
