Mega Man 9 to utilize Pay and Play feature.

Don't be fooled, this game looks like a Mega Man title from the NES days but it's actually a brand new game. Capcom has developed Mega Man 9 specifically for the WiiWare service and it uses the exact same 8-bit style as the original Mega Man games on the NES. Since the game is "brand new" to the series, Capcom see no problem charging you a whopping 1000 Wii Points for the download. But a recent statement from Capcom confirms that 1000 Wii Points will be the least you spend on this game, with it utilizing the "Pay and Play" feature by offering downloadable content. Just what will be downloadable however was not mentioned.

I'm just glad that developers are including downloadable content in their Wii games. Still, I must admit that 1000 Wii Points does sound a little steep.

I think nintendo is going to fail with the pay to play program. After that is launched I'm moving to xbox.

Re: Mega Man 9 to utilize Pay and Play feature.

Hmm, interesting DLC.
I think 2 DLC options: new Robot Masters and thus new levels and/or new enhancements.

Let's not forget that 1000 Wii Points is only 10 Euro, so it less then what actually says.

I am glad that a new Megaman Classic comes out, only I hoped it would be a 16 bit game but it is 8 bit one.:(
Still great news through.:D

pay to play is for DLC not a monthly payment for online play.
