Nintendo loses lawsuit, facing Wii and Gamecube controller bans in the US. - 07-26-08

I'm not kidding, this is 100% real and serious. This is probably the only lawsuit Nintendo has been involved in that has gotten this serious. Nintendo recently went to court facing a patent infringement issue with their Gamecube and Wii Classic Controllers. The case is over, and Nintendo lost. Now,...

Re: Nintendo loses lawsuit, facing Wii and Gamecube controller bans in the US.

This is half right & half wrong, I've searched the webs & tried to find out 1. Wtf Ansacape is 2. What patents Ninty infringed upon & 3. If they will be banned. I have an answer for #3: The Wavebird, Gamecube & Classic Controllers may still be sold for the time being seeing as the Appeals Court hasn't issued a verdict & Nintendo has placed money in a sort of bank account. I'll try to find more info on #1 & #2 as soon as possible. It is important to note that Anascape had this patent since 1997 & could've sued nintendo sooner,, All abit to convienient in my point of view...

Actually, it was the Atari back in 1982, but regardless, you point still stands as in why should they get a lawsuit about it and lose for it?

Re: Nintendo loses lawsuit, facing Wii and Gamecube controller bans in the US.

This is the stupidest piece of $%^$ I've heard all week. Month, year, maybe. Depends on the last time I heard something from 4Kids....

... *buys a controller before they poof* >_>

On the other hand, couldn't Nintendo afford the $21 million? I know nothing about big numbers in huge businesses, but this is gonna tick a lot of people off. It isn't Nintendo's fault some loser is crying about some patent that never accomplished anything but Nintendo may have been able to shut them up and help the customers at the same time. :<

Ah well. That's business, I guess...
