In a recent interview, BioWare’s Miles Holmes brought up the possibility that the team’s hit game, Mass Effect, may make its way to the Nintendo
DS.
"We have a lot of big plans for Mass Effect. Having a
DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition to the next one [Mass Effect 2]," said Holmes.
The once Xbox 360 exclusive was sent to the PC earlier this year and was met with good reviews and respectable sales. Bringing the game to the Nintendo
DS would be entirely different though, and would require many changes to the in game controls, and a serious downgrade of graphics. While the 360 and PC graphics can be nearly realistic in some games, the Nintendo
DS can’t keep up with that level of detail, and graphics would most likely be a lot worse than on the 360 or PC.
