BioWare Considering Mass Effect For DS

In a recent interview, BioWare’s Miles Holmes brought up the possibility that the team’s hit game, Mass Effect, may make its way to the Nintendo DS.

"We have a lot of big plans for Mass Effect. Having a DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition to the next one [Mass Effect 2]," said Holmes.

The once Xbox 360 exclusive was sent to the PC earlier this year and was met with good reviews and respectable sales. Bringing the game to the Nintendo DS would be entirely different though, and would require many changes to the in game controls, and a serious downgrade of graphics. While the 360 and PC graphics can be nearly realistic in some games, the Nintendo DS can’t keep up with that level of detail, and graphics would most likely be a lot worse than on the 360 or PC.

Amen to that, this will suck on the DS no matter what. The 360 version was great, but this type of game wasnt made for the DS.

i hate when they are trying to bring all the greatest xbox360 games to ds hoping the fame will travel. ds games are totally different! assasins creed for ds is nothing like the one on xbox360, and to tell the truth, it sucked. cod4 for ds also was pretty bad. funny how there isnt a halo for ds yet.

I wish Bioware stayed Microsoft exclusive.
The DS game is just a make miney thing.

This will most likely turn out amazing. Bioware also has some DS developing skills already, seeing as they're also busy with Sonic Chronicles.

Re: BioWare Considering Mass Effect For DS

if this does happen, you're probably all wondering what's going to happen to "the scene" or as that guy says "graphic part". maybe it'll all be 2D sprites?

i dunno, i actually wanna see if this guy isn't just tryin to start rumors, and see if it looks any better than CoD4 or Skate It
