Disaster: Day of Crisis still in development, rated for Australia.

Disaster: Day of Crisis still in development, rated for Australia.

For those who have either forgotten or just never knew, Disaster: Day of Crisis was one of the many Wii games shown off at E3 2006 two years ago. Since then, it was scheduled to launch in Japan early this year, but was delayed due to “increase the quality of the finished product," according to the games developer, Monolith Soft. But this week without any warning at all, Disaster: Day of Crisis was rated in the Australian Classification Board, having received an M rating for violence, language and.... themes?

Also, the Australian "M" rating is the equivalent of the American "T" rating.

The best part about this news is that this title is a realistic styled first-person shooter, and with all the time it's spent in development there is a hopeful chance that the controls (and visuals) have been tightened as much as possible. Speculation is that this game will launch in time for the holiday season. No word on an American release date yet, but it shouldn't be far off. I will keep you posted.

If it is 16+ or 18+, I'm not allowed it.

I probably won't get this. I wish they would pick up development on Project Hammer, one of few wii based games. I thought it looked promising but oh well. Viewtiful Joe 3 would be nice aswell.

Project H.A.M.M.E.R. is dead, they said a while back that it was canned.

Sadness, well no one knows. Nibris is supposed to be attending GDC or something coming up, so maybe we'll finally see something on it.

Here is how the Australia rating system works:

G - General (For all ages)

PG15+ - Parental Guidance (Parental consent is recommended for persons under 15.)

M15+ - Mature (Recommended for persons over 15.)

MA15+ - Mature Audiences Only (Restricted for sale to people over 15.)

R18+ - Restricted (Only for over 18 year olds.)

M isn't bad, it only means that you may need a parent to buy it for you if you're under 15. Never stopped me from renting South Park Rally in the day.... >_>.
