When I was little, I remember my brother throwing a birthday party where he and his friends had to solve a mystery about "Dr. Evil". Unfortunately, since this Dr. Evil had next to nothing to do with Austin Powers (hey! He was only eight!), hardly anyone showed up, and it ended up being pretty boring.
That being said, just looking at the
Wii's multiplayer-centric library will easily point out that Nintendo knows how to throw a good party. And what better time to throw a mystery party than right before the release of one of the best
DS adventure games since Professor Layton?
First of all, lets talk about this new adventure game whose release date has simply loomed upon us. If you want the real specifics, you can look
here, but in a nutshell, this game is like a detective version of Highlights magazine: In other words, you'll be searching a bunch of pictures for clues to help you find out "who done it".
Anyway, back to the party. On September 6, you can go to the Nintendo World Store to witness a "dangerous" crime scene. Ironically, the only pieces of evidence you will be able to find in the building will be food, game kiosks, prizes, and the REAL cast from the game. Somehow, you'll be able to tie these things together to find out the culprit in this mystery, or at least have fun desperately trying to do so. The weirdest occurrence that is bound to happen there, though, is the fact that, SOMEHOW, a copy of the game is waiting for you a whole TWO DAYS before it's September 8 release date.
