Nintendo is sued...again?

Nintendo is sued...again?

Many of you will remember that Anascape sued Nintendo and won over the gamecube/classic controller. This time, however, it's the Wii remote that is the problem.
It's to do with motion controls and the Wii remotes use of them.

"While Hillcrest Labs has a great deal of respect for Nintendo and the Wii, Hillcrest Labs believes that Nintendo is in clear violation of its patents and has taken this action to protect its intellectual property rights," stated a spokesman for the organisation.

Nintendo has no comment at this stage other than "We haven't received any notice of the lawsuit and therefore are not in a position to comment at this time,"

Now I must ask when this needless squabbling will stop. It seems everyone would like a piece of Nintendo's profit cake and this is just another company looking for some cash.

Maybe apple should sue Nintendo because the Wii is white?

Re: Nintendo is sued...again?

Obviously another company probably 3 cents short from filing bankruptcy looking to find some sort of "violation" or "copyright infringement" in order to score on a much more successful company to save themselves from wallowing in the ditches and sidewalks of Wall Street asking for some loose change and maybe a free stock. Total bullcrap. They either need to make a successful product or merge with a company that will better manage themselves. This kind of crap needs to stop.

You are obiviously some kind of racist if you thought that joke led to that. Apple's main logo is white. Its like you calling me racist if I said I hated white hats...

I thought I heard a law somewhere that after a certain amount of time, you can't sue someone for their product.
