Many of you will remember that Anascape sued Nintendo and won over the gamecube/classic controller. This time, however, it's the
Wii remote that is the problem.
It's to do with motion controls and the
Wii remotes use of them.
"While Hillcrest Labs has a great deal of respect for Nintendo and the
Wii, Hillcrest Labs believes that Nintendo is in clear violation of its patents and has taken this action to protect its intellectual property rights," stated a spokesman for the organisation.
Nintendo has no comment at this stage other than "We haven't received any notice of the lawsuit and therefore are not in a position to comment at this time,"
Now I must ask when this needless squabbling will stop. It seems everyone would like a piece of Nintendo's profit cake and this is just another company looking for some cash.
Maybe apple should sue Nintendo because the
Wii is white?
