For nearly fifteen years, our good friend Bomberman has been the undeniable king of old-school multiplayer gaming. But believe it or not, it wasn't until the SECOND game in the series that the helmet-wielding warrior got any friends. And if you're from Europe, you would be calling this sophomore excursion by the name of "Dynablaster", which sounds sorta dorky, if you ask me.
Anyway, at Leipzip last week, Hudson announced that a
DS version of this venerable entry to the series is in the works. Unfortunately, not much is known about it, other than two facts:
1. It plays like the very first Bomberman games, where you go through mazes, trying to get to the gate within a time limit.
2. You could customize your bomber with all sorts of accessories.
With the success of the Bomberman Battle Pack (which lets all the
DS games in the series "connect"), online multiplayer is inevitable, but Hudson decided to keep their mouths shut on the subject. I guess we'll just have to be patient until they announce a release date. For now, enjoy this pretty screenshot.
