New Call of Duty: World at War Wii details. - 08-27-08

Activision currently hold the top spot for best selling third party Wii titles and this is a reason why. Despite the limitations of the Wii that some developers are treating like a reason to slap together inferior ports (I'm looking at you EA), Activision is setting a new bar for developers by...

I'm getting it on the PS3. If what is said about the Wii version mode having "All the same functions" as the PS3/360 models, I'll be happy to hear the Wii will support 5 player co-op like the PS3/360 versions. However this "2 players on one screen" thing seems to have replaced that...what a shame.

I seriously hope your not serious.. If you are you need to leave... Because Call of Duty series, is known to all gamers... And if you have never heard of Call of Duty... You just need to gtfo, because your obviously not a real gamer.

The controls will suck, the graphics will blow and the online will be severely cut back from what the other version have. That plus the lack of a large online community and most likely crappy voice support?

I'll take it on the PS3 thanks =P.

Lets just hope they don't use Nintendo's slow server and that its better than MOH I was very disappointed with MOH: Heroes 2, The online maps were really simple, barely any way of communicating, PS2 looking graphics and cheesy animations and with no system at all to let you know that you are actually hitting you're target.

Im not going to buy this for the wii, But I do hope it turns out good.
Im not much to worry since I'll be getting this for the 360 since it'll obviously have greater online or PS3 ( If I had one :| )

Re: New Call of Duty: World at War Wii details.

I really saw no flaws in Call of Duty 3. Yeah, the controls do stick a bit, I'll be honest about that. But other than that, I liked it better on the Wii. And because it doesn't make everything look so dark, I liked it more than any other CoD.

But hey, here come CoD:WaW, so I'm backing up my past CoD's so they can give me room to play. And by the way, stores in the U.S. will be getting Call of Duty November 11.

Hey little punk, don't you read Game Informer, or even listen to the Friendcodes articles, there is no difference between the game versions! Which just means that with the motion controls, the Wii wins hands down.

Aww the people still in denile of the Wii's lack off online prowess. So tell me if they all have the same modes, why haven't they announced the 5 player co-op for the Wii? And why haven't I heard of this

Quote:
A new 2-player mode called "Squad Mate Mode", lets 2 players co-operate by adding another set of cross-hairs to the screen, allowing 2 players to shoot.
On any other system? If you ask me, it looks like the Wii isn't getting 5 player Co-op. Have fun in Squad Mate mode sh313.

I'll wait for reviews to judge though. The Wii version will suck, I know it. Why? Because it's not built from the ground up for the Wii. It's an adaption. That means that it's just going to be a watered down version of what the PS3/360 have, that of course runs at 480i instead of 1090p. The Conduit will be much better then COD5 on the Wii, it's more fair to compare The Conduit because it's made for the Wii.

If I get it, it'll be for the 360. Funny thing is, I'd rather have a mouse or controller for an FPS. A bit weird since the Wii Remote is all "ZOMG ITS LIKE A GUN" but oh well.

That is IF I get it. It's being developed by Treyarch, which is a big "no" for me. Plus it's back in WWII setting, which is strike 2. Finally, Activision doesn't even have enough trust in this game to call it "Call of Duty 5: World at War", just "Call of Duty: World at War". Strike 3.

But that's just me. I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy the game.
