Nintendo says no core games in early 2009 - 08-27-08

Everyone was disappointed at Nintendo at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year because they didn't announce any core games. All that was announced were games for the casual crowd. Surely GrandTheftAuto: Chinatown Wars was announced for the Nintendo DS, but where's is that new Legend of Zelda...

So do we have 2-3 more years of waiting? You guys do realize that the "next-gen" consoles are expected to be revealed in a couple years right? Do you think Nintendo will release a massive Mario or Zelda game for the Wii if the successor is due out in a year or so later? It's going to be like what they did to Super Mario 128 (Super Mario Galaxy), originally announce it for the current console but release it on the next gen console. Zelda MIGHT make a Wii release, as will Pikmin. But I doubt we will see another Mario Wii game, not this soon after Galaxy anyway.

Why do people say Animal Crossing is a core game? If a game scares away parents and old people, it's a core game. Animal Crossing doesn't do that, thus it's not a core game.

Yea i like how the story changes like in lozoof Ganondorf kidnaps zelda for her triforce and the tries to get yours then in tp he kidnaps zelda for her triforce and the tries to get yours. I especially love the mario story change in 64 bowser kidnaps peach and mario has to save her and collect 120 stars and in galaxy bowser kidnaps peach and mario saves her and collets 120 stars.

quick question of the subject
why didnt they make the wii playable to nintendo ds if they made it playable for the game cube why not the ds

Because people wouldn't buy the DS.....

Plus the DS needs two screens and it's a hand held console.
