Guitar Hero World Tour PS3 and Wii online "may" cost money.

Guitar Hero World Tour PS3 and Wii online "may" cost money.

No, I'm not talking about downloadable content. Activision has hinted that the essential online play modes for Guitar Hero World Tour may require paid subscriptions from Wii and Playstation 3 owners.

Quote:
Online gameplay is only available for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Wii may require an additional subscription.
Mind you, "may" doesn't confirm anything. We already know that the Wii version will be utilizing Nintendo's "Pay & Play" service for downloadable content. Could this also mean you'll be paying to play online too?

Guitar Hero World Tour is due out November.

Geez, one of the few reasons I chose a Wii over a 360 or PS3 was because of free online play. And now one of my favourtite series of games is going to be pay to play!?
This sucks

Well this shatters the last remained thoughts of consideration I had towards getting this game. Guess now I won't have to waste hundreds of dollars on one lousy game~

I love it XD. I still like IP Wii games...Zelda...Metroid...The Conduit looks nice. Final Fantasy and ToS will be great. Everything else is fail XD. Besides Fatal Frame 4 which is iffy.

I'm not going to pay $120 to play Guitar Hero online (Buying a Wireless Network Card and XBL account) when I could pay $30 tops to do it on the other systems XD.

I am the new Tetsuka...DAMN IT!

You still have to pay to get XBL. Even though I love paying for online. Seriously I do. Paying makes them be able to give you an awesome sevice like XBL.

If this comes true, I will buy this for the 360 just for the reason that I already pay for live. It is not in my budget to pay for two subcriptions.
