What is undoubtedly the
Wii's best looking game for 2009 is shaping up to be a very worthy addition to the
Wii's library currently over populated with crap. We already knew that a robust online multiplayer and even the possibility of voice chat are in the pipeline for this game, but now it seems The Conduit will be sporting a LAN play mode. For those who don't know what LAN (Local Area Network) play is, it's when you get two or more
Wii consoles and directly wire them to each other, allowing for lag free gameplay for eight+ players on two television screens.

"We've got about six months to go for tightening the title. We're going to ship with a full single player campaign and both offline and online multiplayer. We're also working with Nintendo now on getting LAN play working via system link.

In regards to a publisher, Rob Nicholls stated:

"We're not ready to officially announce anything, but things are in the works. Look for the word in the coming month. The Wii was made for first-person shooters. Some studios have had success with the formula, and High Voltage Software is taking it to the next level."

It seems that the basic game is completed, and that High Voltage Software are taking the time they have left before 2009 to tighten everything as much as possible. I am all for this game, and you should be too.
