Take-Two Interactive has just announced that the new Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the Nintendo
DS will on store shelves no earlier than November 1st 2008, but no later than January 31st 2009.
In addition, CEO Ben Feder was asked about the release of Grand Theft Auto on the
Wii, but once again nothing was confirmed or unconfirmed. However, Feder did say the following.

"We've spent an enormous amount of time and effort working with Nintendo. We're very proud of the partnership, GTA Chinatown Wars is an important step in that partnership...and we intend to continue to grow that relationship."

Whether or not a new Grand Theft Auto game is on the cards yet remains to be seen, but Take-Two has ported Table Tennis and Bully: Scholarship Edition to the
Wii in the past. A new and original title would be nice.
