Microsoft concedes: Nintendo win, but we'll fight for second place. - 09-06-08

Even with the 20 month head start, the Xbox 360 has fallen well behind the Wii in terms of worldwide sales. While the Xbox 360 sits on roughly 20 million units sold, the Wii has almost doubled it with a massive 35 million since it's launch in late 2006. With figures the way there are, the chances...

Yeah but the PS3 has been constantly out selling the 360 for the last few months. it'll catch up, but the fight for 2nd will be close.

I hope Sony gets second place.
What's Microsoft getting for 360? A new dashboard?

Sony's getting Playstation home which kills the new dashboard.

No.

"Through 2005, the Xbox gaming division had lost over $4 billion. However, Microsoft expects the console will start making money in 2008. The losses are due to the market strategy of selling consoles below cost in order to obtain market saturation and gain profits on software and peripherals that have a much higher profit margin. Also notable is that Microsoft has taken a charge of $1 billion dollars on its June 2007 Income Statement to account for the cost of replacing bricked Xbox 360s."

Re: Microsoft concedes: Nintendo win, but we'll fight for second place.

The 360 is a winner if you think like this

They are the ones who sucked and now they have really fought hard to fix RRoD and they also use downloadable content way more than nintendo and sony. Also the games microsoft gets its because the open up their BIG FAT wallet and pay more then sony and nintendo. Xbox live is also greater then sony and nintendo.

Of course i am not a microsoft fanboy (i dont even own a 360)

And the ´ps3 and wii is also winners you just have to see it in the right perspective...without beeing a ignorant mother••••er fanboywho cant see the good thing in the other systems

EDIT: Nice picture Btw
Its not really stealing.... If something comes out, other companies would follow up the foot steps and improve it. Thats how technology advances.

Sure the Wii may have alot of sales, the main reason is because of its motion controllers, at first the Wii is extremely fun but later on it feels just like another controller. And looking t all the people I know who have a Wii and a 360 wanted to sell their Wii because it lacked in good quality games (out of 14 people I know who have it, only one wants to keep the wii). You have to see that just because something sells more than another doens't always mean its better.

Ugh what does this all matter anyways? I mean, they are all just big business who are trying to get your money.
