Before I begin, let me recap that this is not the first game to receive a name change before it hit Australian shores.
Super Mario Strikers was redubbed
Mario Smash Football, and
Wario Land: Shake It was renamed to
Wario Land: The Shake Dimension. But unlike those name changes, this one isn't only utterly needless, but actually makes you want to just forget about buying the game altogether. Australian
Wii owners (and possibly European), I present to you:
Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City.
The name change came completely out of the blue, and seems rather kiddy compared to the original "City Folk". It's currently unknown if the same fate awaits Europe. Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City recieved a G rating for "Gaming Experience may change Online".
