The Conduit Fact Sheet revealed.

One of the Wii's most anticipated games for 2009 is the Conduit, and fans of the title have been unsure about many things. Hopefully, this brand spanking new fact sheet, which was just released by High Voltage Software, will give us all a deeper insight into just what this game is all about. If you are in for a long read, go ahead.

FACT SHEET

The Conduit
Format: Wii
Launch Date: Q1 2009
ESRB: T (Teen) – Violence, Some Blood
Game Type: First Person Shooter/Action
Players: Single and Multiplayer
Developer: High Voltage Software, Inc.

KEY INFORMATION

In a fictional near future, Washington D.C. is shaken by several strange events resulting in heightened local and national tensions. John Adams, the enigmatic leader of a shadow organization known as the Trust, realizes that the nation’s capital has come under attack by an alien race called the Drudge. A former Secret Service agent, codenamed “Mr. Ford”, is recruited to learn the origins of this attack. The answer Mr. Ford finds is not the one he expects.
The Conduit is a straightforward First Person Shooter (FPS) in the style of Halo, MOH: Heroes 2, and Resistance: Fall of Man. Players battle enemy forces in a highly detailed 3D world using a dynamic control scheme only possible on the Wii.

FEATURES

_ “Next-Gen” Visuals – Dynamic environment mapping, interactive water with real time reflection, and four stage texture composition including gloss, diffuse, and bump mapping all make this the best looking game on the Wii.
_ Fearsome Enemies – A vast number of terrifying alien creatures work against you as you attempt to prevent the invasion.
_ Intelligent Behavior – Enemies make use of human-like behavior in combat including use of cover and tactical thinking.
_ Intense Weaponry – Unleash destruction with a huge arsenal of human and alien weaponry that utilizes the innovative Wii controller for unique firing modes.
_ Secrets Revealed – Use a device called the All Seeing Eye (ASE) to reveal concealed objects and enemies, providing a deeper level of puzzle solving.
_ Don’t Trust Anyone – Up to 16 players simultaneously compete against each other in online Multiplayer, including Deathmatch and Capture the Flag modes. Talk trash using online voice chat through the new WiiSpeak peripheral.
_ Award Winning Development - IGN Best Shooter Game of E3 2008 (Wii), IGN Best Graphics Technology of E3 2008 (Wii), IGN Best Overall Wii Game of E3 2008, GameTrailers Best Wii Game of E3 2008, and Top 20 Games of E3 2008 (Edge).
The bolded segment seems to hint that online multiplayer will be, dare I say, without Friendcodes? It's also confirmation that WiiSpeak will be used in this game. Well the game has been hyped up, now all that's left is for it to deliver or die.

No FC's?? *Knocks on wood*

By the way, I thought this game would be rated "M" for some reason... Maybe because I was thinking of Halo at the time.

This game is gonna be great but I can honestly say that if friendcodes are required to play online I am NOT gonna get it no matter how good it turns out to be.

Re: The Conduit Fact Sheet revealed.

Ain't the main nintendo guy against not having fc because he wants his children to play online with safety were they don't get talk to by strangers and then high voltage uses the description Trash talk that wont help us.

Re: The Conduit Fact Sheet revealed.

Guys, they're probably talking about random match-ups. For private deathmatches/friendlies I guess it's still unconfirmed whether or not it'll have FCs.

Also I'm a little surprised this was rated T. Still I'm kind of happy it is because now some of my friends will be able to play it probably.
