    Pokemon Black/White 2: First Impressions

    Hey folks,

For those who have picked up their copies of Pokemon Black & White 2, what do you think so far?

I myself have yet to start playing, but the case is sitting in front of me. I'll be playing shortly and will be able to provide my first impressions then.

The place that you start in is unique compared to all the other games. I'm used to starting in a very small town, nothing big like a city, which this game starts in. You actually have a Pokemon Center.

So far, I'm impressed. The beginning is very brief, however...

I'm about to start it but I don't know which starter to choose. I'm looking for someone willing to trade a Charmander, I can offer them a Tepig, Snivy or Oshawatt. B/W1 versions can still trade with B/W2 versions

I usually go with the water starter. It's tradition for me.

I got him right away. Unfortunately, Genesect won't listen to you because it's level 15 when you get it. :(

EDIT: Surprise, Alder comes to see you while you're en route to the second town. That's kind of cool.

EDIT 2: Okay, so Bianca is the lab assistant, and Cheren is the gym leader of the first gym.... What next? ._.

Re: Pokemon Black/White 2: First Impressions

So far, I'm inclined to say yes. The way this game is laid out so far is way different than Black/White was, in terms of progression and the map in general. You start off in Aspertia City, which is complete with a Pokemon Center and a Pokemon Gym. I don't recall any official Pokemon game doing this in the past. You can catch some cool Pokemon right from the start, such as Riolu, Audino and Azurill, many of which need to be happy in order to evolve, but that's aside from the point.

I'm currently at the second gym, and even the gyms are different. The first gym is actually two parts: The training school, which is in every game, and then the actual gym itself. Whether you're a starter to Pokemon and decided to pick this game up because it's the most recent release, or a seasoned trainer collecting all the games within the series, this game is for you. I'm satisfied with it so far.
