Review made by Waterman Console: DS
ESRB: E for all
Players: 1-4
Developer: Hudson Soft
Publisher: Nintendo
Release Date: November 19th 2007 Intro:
The intro about this game is about Mario looking out side, and then all of a sudden, Sky Crystals are falling! After that, finally finding one, he calls up his friends and invites them to come over. While Mario and his crew are talking, loads of papers come falling from the sky. When they read what’s on it, they noticed that they were getting invites from Bowser “Apologizing” for being such a jerk. They decide, “Free food, so what the heck!”
Of course it’s a trap and Mario and the crew is captured, shrunk with Bowser’s shrink ray, and are flung to the end of the Kingdom. And its all the Sky Crystals fault!
Storyline:
This game is about using Mario or anyone else from the crew to get through game boards, collecting coins and stars, and playing mini games, puzzles, and Boss battles.
But sometimes, the boards, boss battles, mini games, and puzzles get tricky!
Especially when playing puzzle mode, it will start easy, but then it will get harder!
Longevity:
This game really isn’t that long to be honest, and the trophies are kind of pointless. They
Story mode can take about an 2 hours or more if you play non-stop, and it's also really easy to unlock all the mini games, but if you have a sibling or a friend with a Nintendo DS, it can be really fun and will NOT get boring. Plus, playing with two or more people on the game,
You get an “Extras Mode” which is pretty fun.

Sound:
The sound of the game is always “Happy-ish”, and is
always good. The sound for the mini games is also good, especially
when playing the mic games. There not really much to say here except that it might bring back some old memories from the previous Mario Party games.
Graphics:
Mario Party DS has pretty good graphics for a DS game; especially better then Mario Party on the GBA. All the characters are almost perfectly done (Their eyes sometimes get messed up) and most of the game is in 3-D. (I said most because some mini games aren’t.)
The boards and backgrounds are done great and are always very colorful, and most of the objects on the board and background move. So like I said before, these graphics are good. Game play:
How you play this game is really simple, besides the Mini-games. While on the board in Mario Party
DS, you can control using two different ways, using the Control Pad, or the Stylus. But when in mini games, the controls can get a little tricky. (Trust me, I know. >_>)
To play certain mini games, you must either use the Control Pad, Stylus, or the Mic, so you’d better hope your
DS is in good condition to use the stylus. Plus there is a few games that uses two of the controls!
Scores:
Storyline: 6.0The storyline of this game is ok, Its not much different from the other Mario Parties. Longevity: 6.5 This game isn't really long, unless you have siblings or friends with a DS, It isn't really long. Graphics: 8.5 The graphics on this game is good, mostly everything is bright and made well! Gameplay: 8.0 This game is fun like all the other Mario Party games and has great Stylus and Mic features. Sound: 9.0 This game's music is like most other games, they have great sound tracks and are always made great! Overall: 38/50
This game is good, But not really good enough to buy, unless you have a sibling or friend with a DS.
You can also borrow it from a friend, It still will be fun.
