I was playing Pikmin 2 for awhile, and I've noticed some neat little details that I'm not sure anyone else has found. For those of you who have played it, you know the story I would only assume.
So, onto the cool things I've found:
1. After you hold the "X" button and Olimar or Louie fall over (If you have the 5-Man Knapsack), then they make a noise. This noise differs depending on which one you're using. Olimar makes a higher pitched sound, while Louie's is much deeper. This is kind of hinting at their voices if you listen closely... Make sure no Pikmin are near you though, for a successful test result. They also make a noise when you awake them from their nap.
2. When you use the "Y" button to switch between Olimar and Louie, or Olimar and Shyacho, you will actually find that they say their names when you switch ! If you listen carefully, you can hear Olimar say "Orima" or you can also hear "Olima". (Orima is Olimar's name in the Japanese version of Pikmin 2.) Same with Louie's name, he'll seem to say "Loowee" or you can also hear "Owie", but either way, both sound like they're saying their names ! Shyacho (The Hocotate Freight Presidents' "name"), also does this.
He makes a noise that seems like he's saying "Shacho", or you may hear "Shiatcho". You might accidentally hear a "Wahoo" sound, but it's actually him saying his name.
3. I would assume most of you (who have played Pikmin 2), have heard this before. When you're running around either above or below ground, the pilot you're controlling affects the music playing in the area. Olimar's music that plays, differs slightly from Louie's or Shyacho's. Go ahead and test this. It's pretty neat.
So, there's some more to the older games apparently. There's plenty more little secrets hidden in Pikmin 2, so let me know of any you find that aren't completely obvious.
