No, I never through them away, I've sometimes traded them in towards another newer console, but only on very rare occasion, I prefer to keep them to play my older games on, such as I have my Xbox, Wii and PS1 set up next to each other, sometimes I just want to switch on the PS1 and play Crash Team Racing or Digimon World, nostalgia is a damn strong emotion.
Many years ago, I was moving (I was like, five,) I had a bunch of Playstation games (one of which being Final Fantasy IX) that were in a bag, and my mom somehow lost the bag. I didn't lose all of my games, but I lost a good number of them. So I've been trying to remember the games that were lost and try to buy them again. I know I didn't "throw" them away, but I lost them.
Spoiler
Never trashed a console.
I put them away in storage, I will go back to it a few years from now and have a nostalgasm.
Currently playing:
Animal Crossing New Leaf | Gaiaonline | Black Ops 2 (PS3)
I regret selling the majority of my games a few years ago, mainly because Gamestop is a complete rip-off. I should have just listened to my dad and kept them. :/
I trashed none. I sell my games to friends but never happens lol.

I would never throw away a console. Many of the older games are better than the ones today. And besides, maybe in a few decades, you'll have a valuable rarity.
