So I was going my NES collection...

And I really discovered how much love I have for this system. Of the 200 games I have for it I really still do play them all and I cherish this system more then any other. This is because this is the system that got me going into video games and changed my life. When I was growing up I never had many friends or people to hang out with. I was never the cool kid in school and I tended to keep to myself more often then not. But my books and my NES kept me going! Be it reading Lord of the Rings or battling Moblins in Zelda II...I had my escape and the ability to expand my imagination to endless bounds. It really allowed my brain to let the creative juices flow and I applaud Nintendo for releasing such an awesome system in the year of 85! Does anyone else have a video game system that changed their lives? Or even a game that did this? Just curious. :O

(actually reads post) Oh, you want a game that changed my life? Well, the "Square Enix Series" has taught me that games could be just as immersive (if not more) as movies, but other than that, it was more like a bunch of minor changes every few months than one HUGE one.

I used to have a NES when I was like 3 or 4 years old, but I had to throw it out because the system wouldn't read the carts any more. I still remember my first video game. Super Mario Bros. Those were the simple days. :P

My mom told me that I actually knew how to hook up the system when I was like 4 years old... O.O

EDIT: Oh and the video game that I will NEVER forget first playing...that would be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That was my favorite back when it first came out and it still is my favorite game today. I even have the Zelda Collector's Edition GC disk that is so rare. I think it's worth $100 on eBay used... :) (But, I don't plan on selling it)

Though I sold my Nes games a long time ago, I still have my mustard colored Nes.
What I would give to get all my Nes stuff back:)

im with her i used to have a sega.... but my idiot mom sold it for rent money with out telling me

then all i had was my gameboy until 2002 when i finnaly got a gamecube
