    Final Fantasy (nes ones only)

just thought id describe the final fanstys when square soft was on nintendo and not sqaure enxi just square when they were making good games like mario rpg or final fansy.
Anyway final fansty is a line of RPGS most of the games deling with the job system and active battle time.most final fanstys revoled around 4-10 main characters. Also the final fanstys with a star by the name means they never came out in america

    Final Fantasy

released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in Japan in 1987 and in North America in 1990.The story focuses on the four "Light Warriors" and their elemental orbs, which have been darkened by four Elemental Fiends. Final Fantasy introduced many concepts to the console RPG genre also as squares last hope before they become bankrupt.

    Final Fantasy II***

originally released on the Famicom in Japan in 1988. The story centers on four youths who join a resistance to end the Emperor's military campaign against the world. Final Fantasy II was the first game to introduce Chocobos and Cid

    Final Fantasy III***

released on the Famicom in Japan in 1990. The plot focuses on four orphaned youths who come across a crystal, which grants them power and instructs them to restore balance to the world. It was the first game to implement a Job System, summoning and introduce Moogles.

Final Fantasy IV (released in america but as final fantasy II)

released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991; in North America, it was released as Final Fantasy II. The story centers on a Dark Knight and his journey to save the world from the evil Golbez. It was the first game to introduce the "Active Time Battle" system

    Final Fantasy V

released on the Super Famicom in Japan in 1992. The story focuses on a wanderer and his allies as they prevent the resurgence of Exdeath. It features an expanded version of the Job System from Final Fantasy III.

My favorite and the last one on the SNES Final Fantasy VI

released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994, but it was released in North America under the title Final Fantasy III. The plot centers on a group of rebels as they attempt to overthrow an imperial dictatorship. It has more battle customization options than its predecessors, as well as the largest playable cast in the series.

    I might ad pics later

You should give more credit to Dragon Quest.
Many things in that series revolutionised console RPG.
Not that FF wasn't and is innovative in its own right.

It has taken a very long time to reach the Pal regions.
So I don't feel the same bond as with the Mana series.

yeah you gotta give dragon quest some respect.
i have always prefered enix to square and i feel that we all lost out when the companies merged. i've been playing illusion of gaia again recently. it's a great game. terranigma was really good too. star ocean is my favorite rpg series.

That could be the reason is why I like the Mana series.
There is no random encounters, separate battle scenes and sorry to say no still images.

The Mana series has an immersive play from the get-go, total freedom where you want to go or how you want develop strategies, battling and the characters, awesome story.

I might sound like I am not a fan of Final Fantasy, but I am a fan.
I like Final Fantasy for its storylines, engaging ways to customise all sorts of things, the music(which made by the same Nobuo Uemastu) and numerous other things.

    Yes I noticed too, PegxPelvisxPete.
Where is the Enix bit aside from Dragon Quest and Star Ocean?
Enix was always the courageous one, with more then RPG games releases.
Like what they did with Robotek and Misschief Makers.

Terrranigma is a great game with 1 odd plot ending.
    Spoiler

yeah, i like illusion of gaia better, it's kind of like a cross between the legend of zelda and secret of mana (seiken densetsu 2). terranigma moved more toward the secret of mana end.
and wow, just wow, i have not heard "Robotek" in a long time XD. lets not forget ogre battle (talk about innovative)

    Illusion of Time is awesome.
    Just like Secret of Everymore.

I never played Robotek, since there isn't a Pal version.

Sorry to go offtopic from FF.
