for me it is gold silver and crystal i am playing crystal right now i just think it is so much more fun than the other versions.

I've played every generation, and my favorite has always been Silver version. In fact, I went and bought it the other day and now I play it on my old Gameboy Color. It was my first gameboy =D

Yellow version was the first game I bought! but then I got Gold version which was my fave of them all!

Gold, silver, and Crystal was the best pokemon generation. If Nintendo ever makes a remake of any current pokemon generation it should be about Crystal.

It's not that I don't like all the newer generations, but I definitely love the oldest ones best.
