I may have been guilty, I honestly don't remember, but I probably assumed that.

I know someone at school, a Sony fanboy, who thought Zelda was Link. I guess its kinda inevitable that this will happen. I mean, the title can often be irrelevant to the entire game's plot in some instances, and Link, not Zelda, is primarily found on the game's cover. I love Zelda, it's just awkward.

I used to do that. I used to watch sprite movies with Samus in them before I knew she was a girl and I hadnt played any Metroid games, so I thought she was a robot and referred to her as a he.

They may be both elves in the game they give you, but for all the people who thought Zelda was Link haven't you noticed that Link always has to save Zelda? She always get's captured again and again?

Yes, I knew that Link is not Zelda for the game title, you could easily tell that Zelda is a name of a girl, it might be known to someone special in the story and Link is not a girl to be given that name, you would notice that it was about the story of her lifetime and need to be restored the good ending of her life, that makes her look like a key to rule the world or destroying the world, it need help of requiring a hero to do many jobs to save the world that Zelda need help with.

Yeh my friend thought zelda was link at first, sometimes i can understand why they get confused because people just say zelda instead of princess zleda, im sure if people say princess zelda they would work it out quicker? :):)
