Also with them waching us and collecting data they will be able to find out what we wii owener like and what sort of channels we have.

Nice sauceless lie, butthurt homebrew-user/pirate :]

Nintendo have the right to remove homebrew since it's not licensed. You need a license to publish/distribute games regardless of whether it's free or not. If you don't like what Nintendo does, make your own console.

Also, people are clearly misusing the Wii-homebrew scene by making 'back-up loaders'. I doubt even 1% would use it for their own back-ups, majority were using it for loading illegally downloaded copies.

OH NO NO HOMEBREW IS GOOD IT'S NOT BAD AND NOT ILLEGAL LOL IT'S JUST FOR LOADING BACK-UPS INCASE I LOST OR DAMAGED THE REAL THING LOLOLOLDOWNLOADLOLOLFREEGAMESLOOLOL

EDIT: Also I'm not suprised at the amount of people that just took his word for it. Next time ask for sources, gullible buffoons.

I'm sorry, but are you five years old? I don't believe anyone said anything like that anywhere.

Let's take the PSP for example.

Now any homebrew which is coded for and compiled by the PS2Dev.org SDK which was developed under legal methods IS legal, no if's or but's.

if the code was compiled by the official SDK and release as unsigned free homebrew (whether the SDK is Legitimate or Stolen) then and ONLY then is that specific homebrew application Illegal. and why? because the Sony SDK is licensed under a closed license agreement to which only official developers know what it says. and well there is the issue of the leaked version, which was not legaly distributed.

Now for your 'backing-up games'.

The the US (United States) do not allow you to keep back-ups of any certain game according to US law.

So, again, enlighten me what and how homebrew works for anything? From the looks of things no buddy understands a thing. This thread is full of denial and rumors.

End of my rant

Re: Wii Update 3.4 Kills Homebrew... Again... - 11-19-08

3.4 doesn't do anything to the homebrew. It only disables the Twilight Hack which is more of less unneeded if you have the Homebrew Channel/something similar.

I'm just giving out the facts that not everyone knows about, me? homebrew? I create little games via homebrew. Tried doing a tetris one, was kinda bulky. I never implied homebrew works for anything, I merely said this:

So, enlighten to me what/how homebrew works.

You know what's sad? No one here has been able to tell me.
