Well Snake belong to Nintendo in Metal Gear in the NES and gave it to Sony as the new owners.

hes been in quite a few ps2 games and one or two nintendo games and hes obviously a charecter in brawl (top tier too) but he doesnt belong to neither sony or nintendo he belongs to konami but konami dont have a console there jsut game makers so they let both companies use it.

Agreed. If Link had his first game on the Playstation 1 and a remake on the PS2 a deacade later, and every other game on the Wii/Gamecube/Snes/GBA/GBC/DS/NES you would all complain about how most of the games are on Nintendo systems. Likewise, Snake has been in 3 Nintendo games and countless Sony games.

He belongs to Sony in terms of representation. Legally he belongs to Konami.

But I'd say since most of his games are on Playstaion, they prefer sony.
