Is snake nintendo or sony?

Now i have heard that he is sony but also nintendo :? i am in mid of writting a story and i need to know whitch 1 is he.
i mean snake has been on both nintendo games and sony aka
metal gerear 1 was on playstation 1 and gamecube werae as the others were on sony,yet snake made an appearance on super smash bros brawl but so did sonic so i am officially confused:/.

He is from neither. He was made and is owned by Konami. Nintendo was the first to have him on any console, but they have had more success with Sony. Snake is a 3rd Party character just like Sonic now.

According to the wikipedia they say it own by Konami but I got something to say about those 2 companies you were wondering about but Metal Gear Solid games first appear on the NES but years later they start releasing 3-D MGS games on SONY system.
MGS(Nes version) release in NES
MGS1 were release in PS1
MSG2-MSG3 release in PS2
Metal Gear Solid 4 release in PS3
But I guessing Konami will not be releasing any more MGS games on Nintendo systems forever.

You forget the MGS game for the Gamecube. I am not a Metal Gear Solid fan, so I don't know the name of it...
