Mario or Sonic

My vote goes to Sonic. Why? There's no explanation needed. Sonic's greatness needs no explanation.

Your 10 years old right? Mario and sonic were in their prime before you were born. (I've been playing sonic since I was 3 which means I started in 1995) So unless you started when you were born you would of been playing since Mario 64 at the earliest which isn't a classic.

Who are you to say SM64 wasn't a classic?

I would like to see your reasons. Cuz even though I don't agree Mario is the best ever (Samus is), I do think he beats Sonic out by a mile. Oh yeah.

Mario's fireballs aren't exactly dead accurate. Sonic could easily dodge it.

If I compared Mario and Sonic, I'd break it down into 3 categories.

Character (as in personality, skills, and powers)
Games (self explanatory)
Media (cartoons, comics, music)


In my opinion, Sonic would indefinitely win in a literal fight (inb4Brawl). He's fast, strong, and witty. Mario's strong, and intelligent.

Mario's games are better.

Media wise, they're even. Super Mario Bros. Super Show is better than Sonic X and Sonic Underground, but equal to SatAM and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sonic has better comics, and the music in both series are memorable and brilliant.

I'd say they're about even.
