Re: Predictions for the next Smash -

@kidd: RyukiMasamune didn't mean support as in healing/buffs, but as in status ailments like Mewtwos temporary paralysis move in Melee. This would be much more balanced in a fighting game. You should have read his later posts.
@Wolfie: There seems to be a bit of understandable confusion in the term support. We were talking about RPG support like a cleric's healing abilities supporting the party. This is why such support moves can't be in a fighting game. It either gets broken by letting the character heal him/herself and becoming near invincible or gimmicky by leaving the character vulnerable too long to viably use that move.

Thanks to my sister for the sig
I now have a Shoddy account named QuincyArcher.

I seem to recall Peach being able to heal in super Mario Rpg, under your logic, she shouldn't have been in smash. Just because they have support moves in their games, does not mean they have to use them in smash. Pokemon trainer is support as well, can he heal his pokemon in brawl, no, that just futher proves me right.

not exactly cuz peach was in several other games OTHER than mario Rpg if she was in there(i havent played that game in so long i cant remember) this lil mage girl has only been in one game with my understanding correct me if im wrong therefore she only has moves in the FE game and whatever nintendo want to add IF she is added, and if she was to be put in the game what would she look like throwing a jumpkick in mario's face, just think about this now, every character in smash bros you can imagine them doing the same stuff in their corresponding games they came from, can u imagine this mage girl throwing a jump kick in FE? i dont think so, can you imagine Lyn throwing a kick? certainly. nintendo would have to add too much stuff to her moveset and it would make her feel not herself.......CASE CLOSED.
and the last time i heard support used in any game, it was refering to a person who heals or buffs up the party.

Well, I can't imagine Zelda doing a freaking kick where she QUICKLY moves BOTH legs in the air because all she does is sit down and wait to be rescued so that she can unleash a magical beam of light or something.
See, I laugh at how you're suddenly saying all this crap about a "mage girl" when she's not a generic mage in your GBA games that you get your logic from.
ROB is an NES controller. Well, shocker: He has freaking jets under him.
Finally, I say again, MOVESET POTENTIAL IS NOT A FACTOR IN A PLAYABLE CHARACTER'S APPEARANCE. Everyone said that Sonic could only spin around and crap. Well, now his moveset is mostly based on that ONE MOVE. If Sonic's moveset can be based around one thing, so can Micaiah's.

Correct. I think Fox is still the most unique moveset, as in the shield, fire fox, that speed thing and the gun never appeared in any StarFox game, even assault, the guns and shields were far from being the one from Smash. Have I made my point clear?
Now what I don't get is how kidd205 is hell bent on saying this girl can't be in brawl.

Just saying that Zelda was using a sword in TP. And the fact that she's a being who is blessed by the gods.
I'm sure the princess keeps in shape considering it's predicted that an evil man of darkness is coming for her.

See, my logic comes to a flaw because of this counter argument. It's the same thing with kidd; Just because she's a "mage girl" doesn't mean she sits around doing nothing all day.
How does Fox keep fit, hm? I'm VERY sure space mercenaries don't sit in vehicles all day and do nothing either.

Actually, I think Fox's specials were very, very loosely based on certain aspects of Starfox.
Fire Fox = When you die.
Reflector = Barrel Roll.
Fox Illusion = Boost.
Blaster = I believe these were used in Starfox 64's unlockable on-foot multiplayer mode.
Still, it takes a while to realize this.
