As more and more generations of the Zelda series emerge, this question is being asked more frequently as the games improve in graphics and characterization.
Should Nintendo add voice acting to Zelda titles? Now, the question has a lot of implications. It's not simply about giving the characters voices. It raises questions that would transform the games as we know them.
Would Link finally speak?
What would the characters be like if they talked instead of making grunting sounds, and saying the occasional short phrase?
I have a few fan dubs which I think are not bad examples of what this could mean.
Keep in mind that the guy who made the Twilight Princess one purposely didn't keep to what the text on screen says. He was trying to match mouth movements more than anything. In my opinion, Link is done very well, and I don't mind him speaking at all.
This one...the girls sound a bit cheesy, but I really use this for the Deku Tree voice.
And last but not least...the Demon Lord Ghirahim. I think this one is very good; could have used improvement in places, but overall satisfying. Especially the laugh at the end.
