By the great HadoYuki.
I like using his spin dash ability. Or any ability that takes out Dr. Eggman's forces
Spoiler
Spin dash was awesome. o -o Too bad its just drift now

In every Sonic game I've played, the only thing I did was press forward.
What I liked in SA2B
Chaos garden (good times)
Shadow was a pimp in that game.
Good music.
Fun stages (Dat City Escape)
Every Sonic game after this has been mediocre.
Yep. Generations was okay, but what are they gonna do when they have NO MORE STAGES TO REUSE

Here's how a Sonic game would be perfect in my eyes. I like the Chao garden, different level designs, and music but I think the first two things need to be expanded and just made better.
-Sonic Adventure 2 Battle felt way better than Generations; the framerate in Generations is slow compared to the former. Get a really fast framerate.
-Most of the cast of characters needs to be killed off. The cast should be limited to Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, Amy, and Shadow. On an extremely nice day where I become the most beautiful man alive and obtain superpowers, then I'd be okay with Blaze still existing since she was one of the only characters I can tolerate playing as in Sonic 2006.
-No freaking gimmicks should exist. The playable cast should primarily focus on Sonic and his runs through the levels. If it is absolutely necessary that others be playable, then Tails, Knuckles, Amy, whoever else should play almost similarly. No more treasure hunting and mecha nonsense. I'd be okay with Tails flying, Knuckles gliding, Amy using her hammer to jump higher, Shadow using his extended homing attack from Sonic 2006, but otherwise everyone should just focus on one thing: speed. Speed is the most important thing. No werehogs, guns, vehicles (except for snowboards/skateboards if those even count), or those aliens from Colors.
-If the game is going to be 2D, make it entirely 2D. In Generations, I like how Classic Sonic focused on 2D. However, Modern Sonic had both 2D and 3D while retaining the gameplay from Unleashed and Colors. If Modern Sonic does both dimensions, then there's no point in having Classic Sonic. I hate having the camera constantly switch from 2D to 3D and vice versa. It's hell of a lot stupid; it's not necessarily a game breaking problem, but I just wish the game could make up its mind.
-Silver dies and is gone forever.
-I'm not asking for Shadow the Hedgehog's different endings based on Good and Evil but I like how, before the ending, you're given several options as to what level you go to next each time you beat a level. It adds replay value.
-Chao raising is fine. However, the masks have to stop being so damn expensive. There needs to be more ways to get rings aside from replaying levels repeatedly for 8 hours straight. Chao Karate and Chao Racing have to be revamped a whole lot too.

Baller.
Sonic games have become too fast. Colors managed to get it right by making it more difficult to fill your boost gauge so you couldn't abuse it. Even so, this last few batch of games (Unleashed, Colors, Generations) he is much harder to control and feels stiff. I realise thats cause at higher speeds it's hard to turn but no game has felt right control wise since SA 2. Ultimately something that looked like a hybrid of SA2 and Colors would be awesome.
The speed is what I love about the Sonic series. I also like all the hard to get to areas, and the Chao garden.
I wonder what direction they will be taking the series....
Apparently, after they downsized a bit, and cut many of their side projects, SEGA stated they would be focusing on revamping the Sonic series. Hopefully they make it better instead of messing it up.
Gotta go fast.
