Pokemon TV show writers need to be slapped.

I understand that it a kids show and all but they can seriously do better. Ash has gotten just plain stupid now, it like reverse character development or something. I was facepalming though the whole battle with Elesa...just HOW can you go through 4 regions of trainers,gym leaders,elite fours, and champions, and STILL not know the type weakness. Granted that they want to keep things intresting but that was a terrible way to to it, a person who's goal is to become pokemon master SHOULD KNOW THE POKEMON WEAKNESS BY NOW! On top of this he only brings one pokemon and actually has to go get another one...thats just stupid. It may seem like im picking on this one scene from the show, but its because highlights the main weakness (at least in my opinion) of the show..Ash.

Another thing is that other pokemon series clearly show that they could do better in the writing department. (Chronicals, Mystery Dungeon adaptations, the original, B/W 2's promo animation.) Why dose the main series suck so bad now, while all the other pokemon animation are are awsome? Espesially when they got so much to work with, but are simply not using it. This series is incredibly popular I think it deserves better than what it's getting TV wise. The only reason I watch even a little now is to see the animation of the pokemon themselfs, other than that the show is boring.

I think the majority of people who used to watch the show feel this way, if not almost everyone. The b/w2 promos blew my mind at how well they could animate battle scenes and make the trainers actually look like they know what they're doing. What a shame.

A character doesn't have to age. It "normally" should, but remember, the creators could do whatever the heck they want. Technically, the show is for all ages to enjoy. Elesa is the 4th gym leader in the Unova region right? If you're talking about THAT episode ONLY, then yeah. Ash needed a slap in the face BIG TIME. And remember, that only happened in 1 EPISODE. It was just for the lols. NO MATTER WHAT stupid thing Ash does, both Ash and Paul will become Pokemon Masters.
The Kanto episodes had major flaws too, you know that, right? Ash actually got badges that he wasn't really supposed to earn. Some gym leaders in the Kanto region gave their badges to him for being a good sport or for helping out when their gym was in danger.

[FONT=book antiqua]Well, there was one part in the 4th gen series that I laughed at...when Ash was facing the league, he battled a Scoripion or whatever it is called, and it said "WOW! THAT WAS ONE HELL OF A POISON BITE!" That one thing made me laughed.

I loved the first two seasons of the show, when Ash was in Johto and Kanto. Hoenn- Okay...this is getting a bit inane...Sinnoh- Alright, you know what, I'm just going to stop watching for the time being. Unova- Thats it. No longer watching.
I thought the show got awfully redundant. Team Rocket always "Blasting off again!" Ash losing a few gym battles and nearly crying about it..ugh, what happened to the people who wrote the story for the first two seasons?

I stopped watching pokémon anime. I think it's stupid now and I didn't think it was stupid when I was little.
My little cousin has never watched the first episodes but he loves the new ones.

Maybe it's something related to your age? I mean, you don't like pokémon anime because it's for little kids and you are not a little kid anymore? And transforming the show to a more mature thing would ruin the little fans while only appreciate us?

Besides, anyone who understands a little about anime knows that by the pokémon classification the show is not supposed to be mature at all.

Do explain how the 4th generation was like that, because I have watched every Sinnoh episode and I don't recall Ash steppin' out of the gym just to switch pokemon. The creators did that as a joke. And if the creators were dead serious, they would've made Ash like that all the time.

Just because some episodes were full of noobfest doesn't mean the show is like that all together. I guess they didn't want to have a "perfect" trainer that can win EVERY battle. Nobody is perfect, which is why Ash is still learning. He hasn't known every Unova region pokemon move yet. Let me put it this way man: Just be glad that the only thing that didn't change in the pokemon anime is his competitive spirit.
