R/S/E were okay for me... not a fan of all that surf though. My theory is that the remakes are not going to be of R/S, but of Emerald. When you think about it, HG/SS were a mash of G/S and Crystal. It pretty much mashed the two together. I feel as if Game Freak is going to want to put Rayquaza into the plot, and I feel like that would be awkward given the possibility of R/S remakes instead... plus those cutscenes that Emerald had would be pretty sweet with the DS, seeing what B2/W2 did. I don't see it being on 3DS in all honesty, but it's possible. I wasn't surprised B2/W2 were on the DS because I think it'd be strange to bring it to a new platform without much of a battle mechanic overhaul to accommodate (though IIRC Gen IV was supposed to be on GBA, but got pushed to DS... don't quote me on that though.)

Lol that's pretty much the only reason I'm staying actively interested in Pokemon. Sapphire was my first Pokemon game so of course I'll get a remake of it xD

I would definitely buy a remake, Pokemon Emerald was what got me into the series, and it's my favorite, surpassing all other generations in my opinion. :D

I'd probably buy it because it was that gen that got me hooked to Pokemon, but I'd like it if it was Emerald 3D even more!
