HOWEVER, after Bungie and Microsoft split up or whatever, there was an interview with someone working at Bungie on a website (I'll try and find it, it was a reputable site, I remember that) and they asked about the whole Halo
DS thing. The guy said that, yes, a company had made a sort of "Halo
DS demo", but it never went anywhere for obvious reasons.
My assumption is that it was EA that brought it up, and used the Goldeneye engine, since it is actually pretty good if they fixed the controls.
I honestly don't know either way, but meh. My theory is just as legitimate as theirs.

Brian Jarrard: This rumor has been circulating for a while and as you know we even saw some real life screens and assets this week. Ultimately it's up to Microsoft to decide if and when they take Halo to a different platform. That particular demo was in fact created and I believe it was an unsolicited pitch a long time ago but nothing ever came of it.
