Mario could own sonic, hands down. The only thing sonic has on mario is speed, which he can make up for. Mario is well rounded and is just all around better if you ask me.

Sonic, but not because I like him better.I think his speed would give him much of a advantage over Mario, not to mention with a chaos emerald he can do all sorts of things like freeze time.

i wouldnt know who to chose between mario or sonic because they r both like the best characters but for brawl i think i would choose sonic
