I want to believe in Nintendo, but...

It's sad. I've tried time and time again to convince myself that something good was coming out of the wii in the long run, but i really haven't seen much. I mean, sure, there were some good 1st party games out there...but the lack of support for it's Long-Time FANBASE, AKA the hardcore gamers, is almost gone. Very Sub-par online experience, lack of 3rd party support, and in general lack of good hardcore games... After watching the E3 press conference, I am not mad at nintendo, I'm just extremely disappointed(i hate it when my parents do this). The whole conference was filled with fluff and gloating about their # of sold consoles, and how they're better than everyone else.

At this point, i only have one hope: that after Nintendo experiences the inevitable FALL(been preaching it for over a year), it will realize how to change...

i feel the exact same way
i like what there trying 2 do but i can see the inevitable fall coming round the corner.
there's only so much you can do with waving a controller around before it gets old

Okay, there's no denying that Nintendo's library this year was a bit lacking, but believe it or not, Nintendo's "Blue Strategy" concept has been working greatly. I know countless children that got into video games with the DS or Wii.

On the other hand, Nintendo's being that one autistic guy at last night's party who wouldn't start making that joke that sounded funny AT FIRST, but got old REALLY fast. Add to that the fact that all of Ninty's "hardcore" games are basically souped-up GCN titles, and you have, from a 1st party perspective, a very dull time to be a fanboy.

That being said, the Blue Ocean strategy has a GREAT comeback to that! You see, as 3rd parties see the success of the Wii and DS, they'll decide to put their future "hardcore" games on the systems because of the larger market share. The DS already has things like Contra 4 and Etrian Odyssey, and even the Wii has the occasional No More Heroes or Zack and Wiki!

Now, if this is about E3, then don't worry, Nintendo never has been known to release a bunch of really good games at once. the game for this E3 is AC:CF. They will release other titles throughout the year. Why? Because they are smart. That way they don't release too many blockbusters at once. If they do, they might effect the sells of each other.

I am in fact, getting a 360, because of all the amazing titles i have seen for it.
But im keeping my Wii, the big N will pull through for us.

wow that video was really sumthin... i can see the person thinks halo is the main threat 2 nintendo lol
but think about it, what can nintendo do now they have given themselves this kiddy image? you cant really expect them to suddenly throw a whole truckload of hardcore games at you.
