Wii Sports resort is basically
Wii Sports 2. It is to feature new games and it is set in a Tropical Island resort. It is compatible with the
Wii Motion Plus.
You will of course use
Wii Motion plus with it, because it comes in a bundle with
Wii Motion plus attachment like the
Wii Remote came with
Wii play. I am very happy that it features
Wii motion plus because with the original
Wii Sports, you just need to give the
Wii remote a little jerk to make the Mii hit the ball.
Nintendo hopes to have at least 10 sports in the game, but only 3 have been revealed so far. The first Sport is Sword play. This is the best one so far that shows you how
Wii Motion Plus works. You have full freedom of movement. As you move the
Wii remote up, the stick follows you exactly where you move. You can practice with a big wooden log, then it turns into a huge laser pencil, similar to a light-saber. You use the
Wii remote to slash when fighting someone else. Here is a screenshot of this sport.
The second sport is Disc Dog. You throw a frisbee and the dog catches it. I think this sport is the least interesting than the others since you do not involved much. You get points depending on how accurate you throw your frisbee. Hopefully, Nintendo should add an extra mode of this Sport. Tis is the screenshot.
The final sport that Nintendo have announced is Power Cruising. It is a jet race created by the same team that made Wave Race 64. You hold the
Wii Remote and the Nunchuck sideways, as if they were handlebars on a Jet Ski and tilt them to steer.
Nintendo is in a strong point with this game and hopes to be even more better with the Animal Crossing City Folk arriving roughly at the same time.
