Sega Admits that Sonic Games Haven’t been Stellar - 08-11-08

I don't know where to put it so here is some news

In a recent interview with GameDaily.biz Sega of America’s Vice President of Marketing Sean Ratcliffe admitted that Sonic Games haven’t been so hot as of late.

Some of [the] criticism is probably warranted. We definitely recognize that a franchise that has been going as long as Sonic, you really have to put a huge amount of effort in to make sure that you maintain that quality, and arguably a disproportionate amount of effort. However, I would say we recognize it, which is why you’re seeing us this year taking the first steps in making sure the quality is right, and we’re constantly looking at innovation. We can’t just stand still with Sonic; we’ve got to be looking at different ways to develop the character, different genres, and so on.

Recent Sonic games are like a terrible tease. With every new iteration, we’re told this will be the one that finally fixes all the problems found in older Sonic games. Instead, gamers get minor improvements, and a less than spectacular sequel when compared to other platformers.

That said, the new sonic games look phenomenal. Yeah, I said that about Secret Rings too. I want to believe!

w00t.

I didn't find most recent Sonic titles bad at all. Except Sonic 06. Probably just the fanboy in me speaking, but still.

They need to bring Chao back, or make a Chao channel or something. They were the reason I played Adventure 2 so much.

Sonic and the Black Knight will be good as well.

Knuckles+dual swords=win.

Not a Review

a sonic fanboy lol
I played the game. It awesome shodow has sides to chose but kind io cool puting guns in the game but ruins the gamePlay.

I have to stop running and take out all the emanys in the level which some are hiden(WTF). Cars, MOTHER %$#% Shodow needs a car to beat the lever >_< LMAO The Cars are SOOOOO SLOW. Some levels loop which makes me thinking Im going in cricles @_@.

worset of them all is being a Bad guy ENGING! Killing SONIC!(i think?) but if this was the last sonic game i woundn't mine but it isn't cuz if soinc lose's to shodow and takes over the world that meens there isn't no more soinc games but there still is!

I give this game 3/10 poor...:(
