Okay, so we all throw lots of parties, right? Well, if you're a nerd, then I wouldn't be surprised if they celebrations involved gaming in some way.
But what were the games you played, anyway? Here's a brief outline of what my parties were like.
N64 Era: This system was basically the granddaddy of 4-player gaming, so there were TONS of games to choose from. But all the usual suspects I normally didn't care for. I didn't own Smash Bros., I wasn't very good at Mario Kart, I wasn't old enough to play Goldeneye, and Mario Party took too long. That left just one game.... PoGeYmAnZ!1111!1!1
Really, I LOVED being able to pit any of the 150 (250 in the second one) Pokemon against my friends. I'd always be coming with funny party choices, and while I never was very fond of the foster child my family adopted, I have many memories playing this game with him in 3rd grade.
GCN Era: Now, I had Melee, and I sure did play the heck out of that when it came out, but when I found out it had a Teen rating, I decided to "boycott" it and I tore the disc in half

. I was in 3rd grade at the time.
Once that was over, though, most of my GCN time would be spent at church, where we played a little-known game called Army Men: Sarge Wars. Mario Kart Double Dash was also a blast in Battle Mode.
DS Era: I don't have a
Wii, but since everyone these days has a
DS, I have spent A LOT of time in single-card mode. In fact, a few months back, I even made a
thread about it.
Anyway, what about you? What party games do you remember growing up with?
