Question Nintendo USB Wi-fi Adaptor Help! - 09-07-2008

Hey Guys

Can any1 help me. recently got the usb adaptor so my wii can share my internet as i have no wifi router. been playing about with progs like xoom media server for the wii and have had a thought. For the usb adaptor to share the connection it must create an access point so my question is can i use this access point to share my printer to my laptop.

Any help would be great.

The Nintendo Wifi USB Connector can only be accessed by wii and ds systems. If there's a way to connect other devices to it, it would be against Nintendo's intentions, however it might be possible.

I remember reading something about that, but I don't remember where.

Try googling it.

Also, you wouldn't be happening to be using your Nintendo Wifi Adaptor on a PC that uses Vista by any chance would you?

Cheers for the replies guys got it working

using a pc with internet i downloaded the buffalo drivers and installed the asus wan control center you can then change the ssid etc and just connect like it was any other wifi well with a bit of ip tweaking that is.

so i now have full wifi network over the nintendo usb just like a £80 router but for £15

PS had to go down this road as i only have mobile broadband no landline.
