Megaman ZX Advent
Platform: Nintendo
DS Exclusive
Release Year: 2007
Basic:
- This is the second installment of the Megaman ZX saga.
- The game follows a similar graphic style to the Megaman Zero saga on the Game Boy Advance.
- If you are looking for a good action platformer, try this one out to see if you can handle the difficulty and quick-paced action.
Controls:
Y- Main Weapon
B- Jump
A- Giga Crush (Model A)
X- A-trans/Transform
R- Secondary Weapon
L- Dash
Start- Pause/Unpause
Select- Buster Editor (A-trans Model F form)
(These are the default controls)
Secrets:
-I’ll only list the basic ones:
Gem Buster: Talk to a certain hunter in Hunter’s Camp. This is a two-player Tetris clone.
Model a: Clear the game once.
Survival Road: Clear the game on Normal difficulty (Both characters must have a clear file!). This is a boss run mini-game.
Boss Battle: Clear the Survival Road mini-game.
Quiz Advent: Clear the game once.
Music:
-The music is surprisingly good. I found myself humming the ‘Tower of Verdure’ theme often.
Gameplay:
If you’re the kind of player that likes quick-paced bossfights where you must constantly assess the situation, this game’s for you. If you’re slow, toned down or beginning to learn the ropes, I wouldn’t recommend this.
Graphics:
It’s ok and I like the Megaman Zero-ish look to it; however, there are some 3-d graphics incorporated into the game that make the current situation feel… out of place (boss explosion much).
Total:
Controls: Easy to get a hold of. 10/10
Replay Value: Not that much, but it sure is fun to own a boss with Model ZX. 6/10
Music: Great. 10/10
Gameplay: Fast, fun and usually doesn’t get boring. 10/10
Graphics: Boss explosions in 3-d? No, that’s just wrong for this game. Everything else was good, though. 7/10
Overall: 43/50 Pass.
Notes:
Megaman fans will love owning bosses with Model F form (Final boss, hint hint) and Model ZX form.
