I got the new mario and luigi game for the ds.

It's very great game so far until I got stuck on this really stupid minigame. Its this carrot minigame where you have to tap pieces of carrots within a one minute time limit. The problem is most of the time i have to hit a blank space next to the piece of carrot because when i directly hit it it doesn't respond(this usually happens in the middle of the touch screen). I have a ds lite now and i had ds before and both of them don't have great touch screen control(ex. making patterns with the sylus in acww). Is this a common thing for most ds's, or do i need to get a dsi? Does the dsi have more precise touch screen controls than the ds or ds lite? because every video for mario and luigi has a dsi being used including the carrot minigame video on ign or gamespot. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out.

I got the game the day after christmas and, using my sister's ds lite (my L and R buttons on my DSi are broke), I've had no issue with the touch screen for eating the Giga-Carrot. I'm at a loss as to what to tell you. the only thing I can see is you'd have MORE trouble with the DSi because of the bigger screen.

My brothers touch screen is really screwed up and he could do it. That stupid minigame is annoying but theres more then just that one in there so get used to em

Gotten the game too, beaten it already, epic ending...*ahem!* what you need to do is to recalibrate your touch screen, that can be done by starting up your ds, going to the options then selecting the option at the far right, and calibrate it from there...
and trust me, even after you get it working, it takes awhile to beat it :s
