I hope that Metal Slug 7 gets a Pal release too.
I seems like a cross with the looks of Metal Slug 3 combined with the cool enhancements of part 6.

Sadly, still no Nadia or Trevor to be seen.
I do know why, but I still like them.

Re: Metal Slug - 06-11-2008

Perhaps, but the reason why I think they are omitted from later Metal Slug games is because most sprites in Metal Slug 4 are edited versions of older Metal Slug sprites.

Nadia and Trevor has the same moves and sprites as Tarma and Eri respectively.
The MS 4 team only changed the hairdo and recoloured the sprites.

Still Nadia & Trevor are really cool characters in my book.

I failed to notice any Wifi features btw.
Darn, it would be awesome to play co-op online or online leaderboards.
That would really up the ante for this installment.

Re: Metal Slug - 06-11-2008

I have to say only 1 word why: lag.
For hectic games like this one there aren't any tolerance for any slowdown.

But if Castlevania:PoR can do lagfree co-op why not Metal Slug 7?

Re: Metal Slug - 06-11-2008

Yeah, that would be horrific.
Imagine a killer boss attack where you have to avoid with pin-point accuracy and then it freezes for 2 seconds.
You are surely cooked.

Here is a preview with more recent info from Gamespot:
GDC '08: Metal Slug 7 Hands-On - DS News at GameSpot

Sadly it could be that the different stats for each character has been taken out in MS 7.

Re: Metal Slug - 06-11-2008

It will get released in Japan next month, that means for Americans you can get it around october-november 2008.

For Pal regions is it is unknown at the moment if it will come out or not.
If it does come out I expect around february-april 2009 or a full year(see Megaman ZX and Advent).
